Steps to e-Verify ITR using Aadhaar OTP
- Visit the Income Tax e-Filing website
Firstly, login to Income Tax e-Filing website and hence, click on My Account > E-Verify Return
- Select the appropriate return
Therefore, click on e-Verify corresponding to the Return you filed for the current year
- Choose the Aadhaar option
Additionally, click on Option 3 – “I would like to use Aadhaar OTP to e-Verify return”
- Enter the OTP
Thus, you’ll receive 6 digit OTP on your Aadhaar registered mobile number. Finally, enter the same and click on submit. You will see a confirmation message along with a transaction ID.
There are five ways to e-verify ITR. If Aadhaar e-verification is not done successfully then you can also e-verify ITR using net banking option, bank account option, Demat account option, or bank ATM option.
