You can e-file your ITR on the income tax department’s website in the following two manners:
Option – 1. Prepare and submit the tax return on E-filing website:
Step 1: Login to e-filing website,
Step 2: Navigate to e-File > Income Tax Return
Step 3: Select the ITR Form, Assessment Year, Filing Type and Submission Mode from the drop-down list
Step 4: Choose the prefill option suitable to you.
Step 5: Select a suitable option to verify the income tax return and click on continue
Step 6: A page will appear which is similar to the income tax java utility.

Step 8: You can preview & submit the ITR or you can save the draft and file return later on.
Step 9: Upon successful submission of the return, you will be provided with a download link for acknowledgement.

Step 1: Login to e-filing website, navigate to e-File > Income Tax Return
Step 2: Select the ITR Form, Assessment Year, Filing Type and Submission Mode from the drop-down list
