What is APEDA RCMC
APEDA Registration Cum Membership Certificate is a mandatory requirement if an exporter wishes to carry out export of agri-products covered under APEDA. APEDA is an agency of Government of India constituted under Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority Act, 1985 to further the development of export of scheduled products by way of providing financial assistance, information, statistics, formulating standards & implementing it leading to the development of scheduled products
Documents required for APEDA Registration
- Details of registered office, head office and also branch office.
- Self certified copy of firm/company PAN issued by Income Tax Department.
- GST Certificate
- Duly signed and also sealed copy of application form.
- Self-certified copy of Import Export Code (IEC) issued by the Director-General of Foreign Trade.
- Bank certificate in the prescribed form to support the financial soundness of the applicant.
- Self attested copy of the registration of the company with the relevant certification agencies:
- Floriculture and seeds – Dept. of Horticulture/DIC/SIA/FSSAI
- Fruits & Vegetables – Dept. Of Agriculture/ Horticulture/DIC/SIA/FSSAI
- Groundnut, Pulses and also Guargum – DIC / SIA / FSSAI / Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum issued by Ministry of MSME
- Processed Fruits & Vegetables, Processed Food Products, Meat products, Cereals preparation and also Misc. Preparation – FSSAI
- Dairy, Poultry and Honey – FSSAI/EIC/EIA
- Alcoholic Beverages – Dept. of Excise Commissioner
- Cereals- DIC / SIA / FSSAI / Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum issued by Ministry of MSME
- Certified copy of MOA (in case of a company) or partnership deed (in case of partnership firm) or trust deed/Memorandum of Rules & regulations (in case of trust/society).
- Details of registration with other Export Promotion Council/Commodity Board, if any or Details of the licence issued by any sponsoring authority such as DGTD, State Director of Industries etc.
Online APEDA Registration Procedure
Please refer to the following steps to complete your APEDA RCMC:
- Sign up
Sign-up through the APEDA Website by Clicking on “Register as Member” link on the Home Page. The exporter must enter basic details such as IE CODE, Email ID & Mobile number and submit.
- Verification
Subsequently, you will receive an OTP (One Time Password) on your registered E-mail and Mobile number. Exporter should enter the OTP of mobile and E-mail on the verification screen to verify both and then click on Submit to proceed for application.
- Application and Fee
Once you have verified your details, you must fill in the online application form and upload the required documents. The Fee for registration is Rs. 5900/- including taxes. You can be make this payment through any of the following modes:
Credit Card(MasterCard and Visa)
Debit Card (MasterCard and Visa)
or you can also submit a Demand draft in favour of “APEDA” - Allotment of Application Number
Once you complete the Payment process, an application number will be generated. This is application number and required for future reference.
- Exporter Login
The exporter is now successfully registered with APEDA. You may login in to your account through “Exporter Login” link given at APEDA website.
The exporter can view the status of the RCMC application by clicking the “Track Application” link to view the status of application. Additionally, you will be required to submit the IE Code and Application number until it is issued. However, If there are any shortcoming in the application the exporter will have to monitor and resubmit the document online. - APEDA RCMC
Lastly, after the approval of RCMC from APEDA officials, exporter may take printout of their Certificate through their APEDA Login under the heading of “View RCMC Certificate” under RCMC Menu.
FAQs
The registration can be cancelled by the authority upon the following:
1. Furnishing false information.
2. Breach of rules by the registering authority.
3. Breach of conditions imposed in the certificate of registration.
4. Additionally, if failure to export the scheduled product for 12 consecutive months
Once issued, the APEDA certificate remains valid up to 5 years.
Importer Exporter Code is a 10 digit identification number. The regional office of the DGFT ( issues the code to Indian companies and business organizations. It is mandatory for every importer and Exporter carrying out business in India.
Trade License is a license or permission issued by a municipal corporation granting permission to carry on a particular business at a particular address. It ensures that the citizens are not adversely affected by health hazard and nuisance by the improper carrying of trade.
