The GST Portal is the website where every activity related to GST such as GST Registration, return filing, payment of taxes, etc., can be accomplished. In case you have forgotten the password of your GST Portal, follow the steps below .
GST Login – Forgot Password
If the user has forgotten the password to their GST Account, the following steps will help the user retrieve the password to their account.
- Acces the GST Portal.
Visit the GST login page. Click on the forgot password button.
- We move to the User Credential Page.
Enter the username that you have created while logging in to the portal the first time.
- Enter the Catpcha Code and Generate OTP
Enter the captcha code displayed in the image. Click on the Generate OTP button after filling the required details.
- The OTP will be sent to the users’ registered e-mail address and mobile number.
If the OTP expires, the user can click on the Resend OTP button. Enter the OTP and click on continue.
- After the OTP is verified, we move to the New Credentials Page.
Here the user enters the new password according to the given criteria mentioned. Enter the same password into the Re-confirm password section.
- Click on the submit button.
Finally, after having set your Password, click on the submit button.
A message confirming the changes will be displayed. The user can now login using their new credentials.
GST Login – Forgot Username
If the user has forgotten the username to their GST Account, the following steps will help the user retrieve the username to their account.
Step 1: Visit the GST login page.
Step 2: Click on the forgot username button.
Step 3: We move to the User Credential Page. Here, we fill in the Provisional ID/GSTIN/UIN that we had previously received over the mail.
Step 4: Fill in the characters displayed in the Captcha code.
Step 5: Click on the Generate OTP button.
Step 6: We move to the OTP Verification Page. The OTP is sent to the registered e-mail address and the mobile number. Enter the OTP.
Step 7: Click on Submit.
If the OTP expires, click on the Resend OTP button to regenerate another OTP.
A message confirming the changes will be displayed. The user can now login using their new credentials.
FAQs
Follow these steps to recover GST ID:
– Login to GST Portal and Login
– Click on Forgot Username at the bottom of the page
– Submit your GST Registration Number (GSTIN) or any Provisional ID or UIN. Click on Generate OTP
– Enter the OTP received
– You shall receive your User ID in your e-mail
It is not possible to download your GST Certificate without logging in.
The password the user has created while logging in for the first time is valid for 120 days.
